JAMMU & KASHMIR Lashkar distances itself from posters in Shopian | KNO Published 327 weeks ago on January 22, 2018 By KashmirNewsObserver Lashkar-e-taiba (LeT) on Monday said it has nothing to do with the posters displayed in Shopian district of south Kashmir saying it is the handiwork of “Indian agencies” to defame the outfit. A Lashkar spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement quoted the outfit chief Mehmood Shah as saying that “Indian agencies do such things to defame us but they will never achieve anything out of these tactics.” “It is an obligation to preach the community but to impose Islam forcefully by individuals or organisations is not at all allowed in Islam. It is the Ulema who preach the people and tell them what is right and what is wrong,” the spokesperson quoted Shah as saying.
